Ok this is one of my favorite views on the road during our annual retreat to the technology free zone of our adironack camp. I know that you were expecting to see photos of the mountains, the lake, maybe cooking on the open fire. Sorry. Sometimes you don’t even want to take photos. That’s how I felt this time around. I just wanted to gather kindling and keep bringing in logs to keep the coals hot so we wouldn’t freeze our butts off.

I was another wonderful trip. Made our stop in New Paltz for coffee and breakfast. There’s a new coffee shop. Has lots of gold velour couches, we’ll check it out on our next trip.

Ok. Here’s a bit of tech free zone.

Just had to blog this image. I just want this sign in my studio. It can flicker or zitz if it wants that would be just fine. The shape of the letters — wonderful. Thanks to my flickr friend ms jane hudson. Thanks to her and the city of chicago.

It would be great mini as a keychain wouldn’t it?

This is a test of a sweet little piece of technology that I recently stumbled upon. I can’t even remember how I discovered it. I just know that it’s pretty darn sweet and its really easy to use. I can turn lots of my artist and photo buddies on to using this technology to view their work within a clean interface that doesn’t distract from the work. So here’s my first try. As soon as I get a few more set together at flickr I will be making them available.

I tried putting the code in a Drupal site I am working on with dismal results. A real bummer. I’m investigating if it’s Drupal that’s mucking it up or me or what. Gonna make a visit to the developer page and check it out. Has anyone else tried to put this in Drupal?

These are images from a trip to the Wharton Esherick Museum. Enjoy.
