LED tree lighting
A quick capture to send to Joel and the family in Rome. We are comparing trees. This is a shot using my beta copy of Skitch. Great photo utility and scribbling device. Drove the truck out to Tom’s trees again this year. We have a very dense white spruce. It was the only tree quite tall enough that was left so late in the season. It took 1000 lights to get to a stage where you could see some of the texture of the tree in the dark. We used some LED’s this year you can see the blueness in the shot. I couldn’t find anything that had a warm glow.
I’m all for LED’s just haven’t found the right color mix yet. The so called white LED’s here are ice blue… I like the color but it isn’t restful like the normal natural bee lights. I’ll have to investigate for next year.
The red berry like leds are super. they make the tree look a bit like a holly bush. I love the red ones. I’m hoping we can find some better ideas for next year.
Anyway, thats the ladder next to the 8.5 foot tree and now it is totally decorated.
This in contrast is the two foot tree at the studio downtown. We pull it off a shelf and add some led star lights that are run by batteries. This year the tree top is a world yo yo.
