Spring at Race Street Pier.

I’m not sure why it’s been so long since I’ve walked there, but today I did and it was strange­ly over­cast and humid when I start­ed out. But it was­n’t long before the clouds part­ed and blue skies were revealed.

The Race Street Pier looks it’s best in late spring. The heat of sum­mer has­n’t tak­en it’s toll on all the plants. Today the sail­ing club was out in num­bers as the tacked back and forth on the incom­ing tide. Barges passed by slow­ly, the tug­boats eas­ing them along.

It’s a won­der­ful place to sit and think.
