Art 365. A drawing a day.

I’ve embarked on a project this year.

A 365 day project. It will result in 365 drawings. They will be made on my iPhone. I’ll be posting at my artlog and you can see them there if you are interested. I’ll try to write a bit about each of the drawings but sometimes the posts will be wordless.

I stopped putting my artwork at this blog except on special occasions.

Post it notes continue to work their way into different parts of our lives. Their not so stickiness encourages us to use them in all kinds of unexpected ways. Their uniformity is another excellent attribute. Even the straight-lined challenged can line post-its up in a grid. Now that we aren’t confined to the Post-it yellow the possibilities are multiplied — by the number of new colors added.

So, what have you done with Post-it notes lately?

iPhone app encourages inner abstract expressionist

What kind of drawing and painting tools are available for artists in a digital space? I don’t know. Because sometimes I actually am under a rock. Why didn’t I know about this cool app so I could vote for it in the Webby’s? Sometimes you just miss cool stuff until most people think it’s old and tired. Well, It’s new to me. Here is a cool app where you can get your inner Pollock out.

I spent hours playing with this software toy. You probably will too.

SketchUp and new Heavybubble HQ

Been working on the design of the new Heavybubble HQ. This space will server as studio, HQ, and gallery for exhibitions. This is one of my earlier renderings using the marvelous free SketchUp from Google. To see more of the design process of the new space head over to the artlog.
