I love the opening of this show. Sorta fresh.

Hadn’t seen this version. An amazing version. Love it much more than the recorded version.
My neighborhood can be hell with the hords of tourists. But when they all go home we can bask in the beauty of it’s history and it’s hipness.
A thing of beauty.
Recorded May 6 1961 by Rudy van Gelder in his Englewood Cliffs Studio,

Amazing all around.
Finally made it to Terakawa Ramen in Chinatown for dinner.
The gyoza were amazingly fresh and the flavors delicate. The Tan Tan Ramen (Ground pork, bean sprouts, fresh chopped scallions, and sesame paste in spicy miso chicken soup) warmed me to the core for the very chilly trip home. Absolutely thrilled to find a new place with Ramen I can trust.
Loved the space and the service was quick and courteous.
Ready for my next visit.
